About Me

I have spent my entire adult life volunteering for multiple groups while balancing commitments to my family and employers. I’ve become keenly aware of the importance of learning from every part in my life. It’s that learning and attention to detail, that has helped me to balance, prioritize, and know when to ask for help. It is also this learning that has helped me to simplify life, identify problems quickly, and utilize practices that have worked in the past to find paths forward.

I’ve been very active in all facets of life. From a family perspective, I am the father of three boys and husband to a veteran teacher who on top of her classroom duties holds leadership positions with her teachers’ union. In the professional setting I am a senior marketing leader who is counted on to manage the delicate balance between sales and marketing teams and maintain good working relationships with partners and industry associations. From a volunteer perspective, I have been an active volunteer leader in Delta Sigma Pi for the past 18 years, served on town advisory and soccer league boards, coached all my sons in soccer, and helped our local Cub Scout pack as a Den Leader as well as an event and communications organizer.

Family Life

A hallmark of the lives for myself, my wife, and three children is involvement. My thee sons are involved in many local activities - dance, soccer, baseball, basketball, drama and Cub Scouts. My wife and I have become expert calendar optimizers and volunteers for these groups. Making sure that our children are able to enjoy their hobbies and that we are able to give back so the organizations can remain active. These groups have helped us expand our village. We are blessed with a large group of friends we can count on for support who not only have children around the same ages, but live equally active home and professional lives. It is this village that helps our family remain active. This is especially the case when my wife or I may be traveling for work or attending meetings and other events for our volunteer commitments - town boards, local teacher groups, and Delta Sigma Pi.

Delta Sigma Pi Experience

I started my career as a Delta Sigma Pi volunteer leader two days after graduation, when Richard “Nick” Steinkraus and Diane Thiabault recruited me to serve as District Director for the colony at Massachusetts - Boston (which would become the Xi Phi chapter)  after seeing my work as Pledge Educator, Vice President of Alumni Relations, and President for Lambda Tau. I’ve remained active at the local and national levels since that day in May, 2002. I grew from a wide-eyed rookie District Director, to Regional Vice President, Provincial Vice President and Chair of the National Professional Development and Alumni Development Committees. Along this journey, I’ve inspired and mentored a number of brothers who have gone on to serve as District Directors, Regional Vice Presidents, Committee members, and members of our Board of Directors.

Some of the other accomplishments in my fraternal career include...

  • Organization of regional officer meetings, conferences, and social events as New England Regional Vice President

  • Starting the process that re-activated the Gamma Chapter at Boston University and established the Pi Rho chapter at Massachusetts - Amherst during my time as New England Regional Vice President

Professional Experience

I have been in marketing for my entire 21 year career, with a majority of that experience in small business and tech start-up environments. For the past five years, I’ve been part of ecommerce focused start-ups truly living life in fast paced and ever changing environments from a company and retail perspective. Day-in and day-out I need to be extremely flexible and adapt quickly to changing best practices and when plans aren’t as effective as anticipated.

Some of my career highlights include...

  • Leading the selection and implementation process of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation Platforms for two companies

  • Managing sales and marketing tech stacks for multiple companies

  • Establishing consistent online education programs (including calendar creation, topic formation and speaker recruitment)  for multiple companies

  • Leading major trade show appearances for global events such as CES, Shoptalk, Consumer Goods Forum, in addition to an exclusive sponsorship for the Town of Brookline, Massachusetts’ 300th anniversary

  • Creating agreed upon sales and marketing processes that resulted in greater working efficiencies and agility

As someone who has spent much of their career with small/start-up tech companies, I have been retained in three acquisitions. During those acquisitions, I have often served as the person responsible to blend different technologies and sales/marketing methodologies between groups that often had conflicting views on how best to do that.
